Florida State University Panama City will host a free Youth Football Camp at Tommy Oliver Stadium on Saturday, June 7. The camp will be run by Javien Elliott, former FSU Seminole defensive back and currently a coach at Rutherford High

“I'm grateful for the opportunity to return to my hometown, Panama City, and give local athletes the chance to be coached by former Division I and NFL players,” Elliott said. “I believe there’s a lot of talent here—on and off the field—and I want to help develop it in any way I can.”

Elliott, who also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers, will be joined by Coach Boris Jackson on the field to teach game fundamentals, polish skills and provide invaluable life lessons in the process.

“My focus is spiritual, education, family, nutrition and skill mastery through sports performance training," said Jackson, a former defensive back for the Florida Bobcats.

The camp is open to boys and girls aged 10 to 17. Participants will be split into groups depending on their age range, and sessions will be “flag football” style with strictly no-contact.

Tommy Oliver Stadium is located on the campus of Bay High School at 351 E. 13th St., Panama City. On-site registration will begin at 8 a.m., with warm-ups and skills training starting by 9 a.m. Training will wrap up at 11 a.m.
